WITH ALL THE RECENT problems encountered by cruise ships, I found an article that was both amusing and amazing! There is a single man from Miami who has taken over 600 cruises on Royal Caribbean in the last dozen years! He saw cruising as the “perfect lifestyle” and at age 48 left the corporate world and began a business that he can oversee while cruising. At any given time he has his cruise schedule for the next 18 months booked. He uses the same travel agent all the time, only sails on Royal Caribbean and says that he doesn’t get special pricing other than perks from advance booking and upgrades as a Crown and Anchor member. Royal Caribbean calls him “Super Mario” because he sails approximately 300 days a year. (talk about a full service retirement home!)
